CLASSIC DRIVE- INS

This is some of Larry`s classic drive-ins he did from old photos of Gadsden, Ala. back in the 60s. These prints will take you back when we use to cruise the streets of Gadsden and go from place to place to be seen or see who we could see.

THIS IS THE WAY HARDEES DRIVE-IN USE TO LOOK WHEN WE USE TO CRUISE DOWN MEIGHAN BLVD.

In this fine print shows downtown Gadsden 1966. Some of these teenagers in this print, are wearing Gadsden High, and Emma Samsom  apparell.

This print is Pitman Theatre which is still standing on Broad St. downtown Gadsden. This fine print shows you the way it use to be in the 60s.


BIG CHIEF

This was the Big Chief Drive-In located in Glencoe Alabama on the outskirts of Gadsden. This was a popular place for Glencoe teens.

This is the way Burger Chef use to look on Meighan Blvd. back in the 60s. You can get these fine prints signed and numbered by the artist.

This print shows the old Rainbow Drive-In on Rainbow Drive in Gadsden back in the 60s when it was a favorite place to go on Friday and Saturday nights. It cost $1.25 to get in.

This print is the old Princess Theatre which burned in 1963. Jerry Lee Lewis had a concert there once, and also played pool at the old Pasttime pool hall. This was a favorite place for teens in the 50`s.

This was the Pick-A-Burger also a favorite hang-out for most teens in the 60`s.

This is Jacks back in the 60`s another popular hang-out.
